Name of Course Driver Safety & Responsibilities
Course Objectives
To provide knowledge and understanding of:
Our Aim is for you to understand the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974. We are going to tell you about How and Why it became Law. We are going to give
you some basic knowledge on the law. We are going to discuss the responsibilities for you and your employer. We are going to talk about the new
technology in the continued Health and Safety at Work
Know and understand the range of employer and employee statutory rights and responsibilities under Employment Law. This should cover your rights and
responsibilities under the Employment Rights Act (1996), Equality Act (2010) and health and safety legislation, together with the responsibilities and duties
of employers. Know and understand the procedures and documentation in your organisation which recognise and protect your relationship with your
employer. Health and safety and equality and diversity training must be an integral part of your learning programme. Know and understand the range of
sources of information and advice available to you on your employment rights and responsibilities. Details of ‘access to work’ and ‘additional learning
support’ must be included in the programme. Know the types of representative bodies and understand their relevance to your skill, trade or occupation,
and their main roles and responsibilities. Understand the role played by your occupation within your organisation and industry
