Description
By the end of the Course trainees will be able to
• Understand the Roles & responsibilities of a first aider
• Understand and demonstrate an Incident & Casualty assessment
• Manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing by carrying out CPR (Cardio Pulmanary Resuscitation)
• Use an AED as a standard part of CPR
• Manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally and place them in the recovery position
• Recognise and assist a casualty who is choking
• Manage a casualty who is in shock
• Manage a casualty with external bleeding or with a minor injury and to recognise and treat a casualty who is having an Anaphylaxis shock
• Administer first Aid to a casualty with minor burns or scalds
