At the end of the course drivers will have increased knowledge in the following areas:-
Non repetition of DCPC subjects.
An update on highway code , speeding/parking/road signs.
Receive updated knowledge on Smart Motorways.
Refreshed knowledge of EC Drivers' Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive. The ability to make manual entries on digital tachographs.
An increased awareness of driver conduct and the outcomes by regulators.
A better understanding of drivers medical conditions and responsibilities to their employer
An understanding of the threat of terrorism/truck theft and actions they can take to prevent this.
The importance of avoiding bridge strikes and what actions to take should they have a bridge strike.
An insight into modern vehicles and alternative fuels
