Description
By the end of the session candidates will have had an introduction to the carriage of dangerous goods in the UK and the employer & driver's legal responsibilities. They will be able to discuss the importance of understanding fire hazards and the duty of care towards other members of the public and road users, also the need for environmental protection and actions that need to be taken. They will also have knowledge and understanding of the requirements to carry dangerous goods in packages or in bulk, safely and in compliance with rules and regulations. They will also have knowledge and understanding of the hazards of Class 2, 3, 8 and 9 dangerous goods and how to comply with rules and regulations, ensuring their safety and that of others. Also the requirements of GB Domestic Driving Hours Rules, WTD & GB Domestic Driving Hours Rules and emergency actions
