Description

By the end of the course candidates should be able to explain what is meant by "mental health", and describe what common mental health illnesses are experienced by the population. Drivers should also be able to identify some of the symptoms of mental ill health and list methods to respond to such occassions. Drivers should also be able to define "wellbeing" and identify things that could impact negatively on their wellbeing - this should encourage drivers to think about their driving behaviour, and analyse the impact of physical/mental wellbeing on driving practices. They should also be able to identify the correct methods of response when seeing other drivers behaving in an erratic or aggressive manner.
