Description

By the end of the training session Drivers will have the knowledge and confidence to ensure they only drive vehicles that they are legally allowed to drive. understand the categories of vehicles and the restriction codes that applies to drivers of all vehicles. have an understanding of drivers hours rules and be able to record their activities of work, breaks from work and rest periods on Tachograph recording equipment. understand the risk of penalties for not keeping accurate records. will have knowledge and understand the tachograph symbols and be able and confident to make manual entries onto the recorder. will understand the risks to life and penalties for drink and drug driving. will have the knowledge to make decisions on how long to refrain from driving after consuming alcohol / drugs and know how the body processes alcohol and drugs. be aware of the costs of being involved in a traffic incident. be aware of how to plan and prioritise if involved in an incident. have the knowledge of how speeding affects stopping distances and the measures put in place to reduce speeding drivers. Recognise speed limits for different vehicles on different roads. understand the penalties for convictions when speeding.
